Here is how you can get the latest QuickBooks Desktop release:
- Open to QuickBooks Desktop and then press the Ctrl+1 keys (or F2 key) on the keyboard.
- When the Product Information window opens, check and note down the current version & release.

Set up and update bank account
Once you have updated/upgraded your QuickBooks Desktop product with the latest version, you may be required to update and re-setup your bank account. Follow the given steps below to do so:
Set up the new bank account in the Chart of Accounts of QuickBooks Desktop:
- Click on Lists > Chart of Accounts.
- Click on Accounts button > New.
- Click on Bank and choose Continue.
- Now, enter the detail of the bank account.
- Click on SAVE then select Close to save the changes.
Update bank account credential in the Account Maintenance page
- Select Employees and click on My Payroll Service > Accounts or Billing Information.
- Now, sign in using the Account login detail.
- When the Direct Deposit section open, click on the Bank Account details.
- Choose OK when a message is displayed.
- Enter the payroll PIN, after which click on Submit.
- Now, enter the details of the new bank account. Then click on Submit.
- The confirmation process will take a few seconds. Click on Continue when it finishes.
- Now, click on the bank account in which you want the QuickBooks Desktop transaction to be posted.

Update account in which the direct deposit paychecks & fees will be posted (optional)
- Lick on Employees > Send Payroll Data.
- On Send or Receive Data window click on Preferences.
- In Account Preferences drop-down the list and click on the new bank account.
- Click on OK in order to save the changes.
- Click on Close.
