Basically, there are two ways you can opt from to update your Quicken:
- First, check which latest update is available. Select the update and download it.
- Once downloaded, save the same file onto your desktop.
- Double-click on the file you just saved on the desktop. It will start the installation of the file.
- Once you are done with this, restart your computer.
- Now, check if there are any windows update available. If yes, manually install them.
For multi-user mode, copy the downloaded file in your portable drive, paste it on your drive and follow the same procedure on another computer.
To install it manually:
- Click on the File menu and then click on the Close/Logoff Company.
- Now, click on Exit from the file options.
- Quicken desktop – right-click on it and then click on Run as Administrator
- Make sure that you are seeing “No company window screen”
- Click on Quicken Update in the help menu
- You must be seeing a list of options – click on the Mark All button and then select the Save button.
- Now, click on Update Now
- Wait for the update to finish. The respective message will flash on the screen.
- Now, open your Quicken Accounting Software. Check if the update message is still showing or not.
- The installation completes. Restart your computer now.
Automatic Updates Process
- To start the procedure, click on the menu and then select the Help → Click on start Quicken update.
- Now, select the Update Now tab → click on Get Updates.
- The download of the latest version will automatically start. Save it on your desktop
- Now, close the software and start it again. The installation will automatically start.
You can schedule automatic update download and installation:
- First of all, select the Quicken Help menu → Now, select Update Quicken.
- Now, go to the Options tab.
- Select Automatic Updates. Now, click on the Radio button to schedule it.
